CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach: An Inside Perspective

For several years, I struggled with a range of symptoms which no doctor, health professional or so-called “healthy eating” could remedy.  I was overwhelmed with conflicting advice, spending a fortune on multiple therapies, exhausted and losing hope.

Then I discovered the world-renowned Paul Chek, HHP, NMT and his C.H.E.K Institute of Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology.  His informative YouTube lectures, inspiring blog and bestselling book How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy were a revelation to me.  They offered a complete and fully integrated approach to health.  Before long, the only professional I felt I needed help from was a CHEK Practitioner. He transformed my health/ life, my energy and vitality returned and I decided to become a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach to help other people.

Paul’s methods are truly holistic because they view the body as a system of systems- a fully integrated unit where physical, hormonal, mental, emotional and spiritual components must be considered.  He has had unparalleled success using his holistic approach in rehabilitation and conditioning for 32 years.

Specifically, a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach utilises in-depth questionnaires and assessment tools to assess multiple factors of health and physiological load, identifies levels of priority and recommends practical nutrition and lifestyle changes to optimise health and wellbeing.  We can ascertain a client’s individual Primal Pattern Diet Type which ultimately determines the proportion of macronutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates) which their particular body naturally needs.  We also help to balance yin (restorative) and yang (active) forces through several core principles.  Happiness, love, goals and dreams are central to the work and personal challenges are considered when designing a program.  The work is therefore not just broad and holistic but also of a long-term nature – the client gradually implements and adjusts to the lifestyle changes, becomes increasingly physiologically balanced and gains further capacity for change in any area of life.  The end result: greater long-term health, happiness and wellbeing.

As most people are highly stressed, too Yang and have a “Yin deficiency”, I like to offer therapeutic experiences which incorporates massage, relaxation, release of tension, gentle movement, meditation, quiet and introspection to facilitate the CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach program.  I particularly enjoy helping people in this sensitive therapeutic way, knowing how truly beneficial it is.
