Rewriting the Body’s Story
How a Guided Somatic Timeline Breathwork Method Helps People Understand & Heal Their Childhood Wounds
“This isn’t about just letting go. It’s about understanding what you’re letting go of & why you held on in the first place.”
– Steve Consalvez
If you’ve experienced conventional breathwork, you may be familiar with the dramatic releases—crying, shaking and moments of deep catharsis. Yet when the session ends and someone is asked, “What did you release?”, the answer is often vague or uncertain. “I don’t know… but something shifted.”

That’s not what happens with Breath Power.
As someone who’s trained and practiced as a psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, and breathwork facilitator, I’ve seen where most healing modalities fall short. The body and mind need to work together. Emotional trauma is both felt and understood. That’s what makes Breath Power different.
From ACEs to Attachment
Over the years, I’ve studied the long-lasting effects of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences)—from emotional neglect to subtle invalidation—and their impact on adult relationships and health. As research continues to show, early experiences shape not just our emotional responses, but even our nervous system development.
Informed by attachment theory, originally developed by British psychologist John Bowlby, I understand how insecure attachment styles—particularly dismissive-avoidant patterns—can cause people to cut off from their emotional needs. These individuals grow up internalising the belief that it’s safer to need nothing, feel nothing and rely only on themselves.
“So many of the issues we face in adult life stem from early relational patterns,”
– Steve Consalvez
“We don’t realise it, but we’re still operating from decisions we made at five years old.”
A Guided Journey, Not Just a Breath Session
What Breath Power offers is not generic breathwork. It is a psychotherapeutic, somatic timeline process, guided with care and precision.
Participants aren’t simply breathing for release. They’re guided through specific developmental stages—tracing back to key emotional memories, often non-verbal ones, that shaped their relational behaviours and internal self-beliefs.

This is where the power lies.
“I’ve seen people who never understood why they shut people out, finally connect the dots. They don’t just feel better, they get clarity. They know what they’ve healed & how to move forward.”
Through this integrative process, even those who can’t recall the specific incident that led to a particular behaviour can still sense what age it came from, what belief it embedded and what part of them needed attention. This allows for powerful reparenting and reconnection with the parts of self that were left behind.
The Avoidant Armour & the Breath That Softens It
A powerful example of this process is working with those who present with dismissive-avoidant attachment. These individuals often learned that expressing emotions meant making life harder for others—or being ignored altogether.

The coping mechanism? Shut down. Stay self-sufficient. Never need.
Common internalised questions from avoidant individuals include:
“Who needed me to be okay so badly that I stopped needing them?”
“When did it feel safer to be clever than to be sad?”
In Breath Power, they don’t just get to feel these memories—they begin to understand their origin. They revisit that timeline as the adult they are now, offering empathy and clarity to the child who made that original decision. And that’s when real, sustainable change begins.
From Somatic to Semantic: Integrating the Experience
Unlike traditional breathwork, where releases are often mysterious or disconnected from meaning, Breath Power ensures integration. After the breath session, participants typically express something profound like:
“I understand now that I’ve been pushing love away because I thought I had to be strong for everyone else.”
They walk away not just lighter—but clearer. Their future relationships become cleaner, healthier and more conscious. They stop repeating patterns not because they’ve “let go” of something unknown—but because they’ve understood and updated the story.
“Healing isn’t just about release. It’s about realisation. Once you realise what you were doing, & why, you get to choose differently. That’s true empowerment.”
Breath Power is the synthesis of somatic awareness, breathwork and psychotherapeutic insight. It’s timeline-based, trauma-informed and attachment-aware. It gives people the missing piece that most healing modalities don’t: the why behind the wound and the tools to relate differently afterwards.

Because it’s not enough to feel better for a day.
We’re here to live better for life.
