Embodying Grounding

Connection with Pulsation for Livelihood

Understanding the sensation of the soil beneath your feet is essential for grounding. Feeling is the key; understanding is just a small fraction of the complete dimension.

How does it feel for the bones in your feet?
Do you sense any pulsation?

Bend your knees and visualise.

Guide your mind to create a narrative that interprets the signals your body is sending.

Allow.

It’s only you and your body.

Anything is possible and anything is OK

Have you ever seen a tree with big, massive roots coming out of the ground, because of the vastness and thickness?

This is the vision of yourself that you want to embody: roots coming down to the earth, spreading deep into the ground, enabling you to be firm, stable, and safe in your grounding, with branches spreading upwards high and wide, open to receive, protect, and connect.

Neurobiology recognises the energy centres in our body. Grounding, as Muladhara-first chakra, develops early, beginning at birth, and further shaped by socialisation. Important factors included socialisation, family, sense of existence, security, and physical identity, to name a few.

If this energy centre, located at the bottom of the spine, is fully developed (which is very rare), then you would feel a sense of security, confidence in the world & in yourself, presence, groundedness, stability, and vitality. So, what can you do? Engage in activities to discharge energy, such as shaking, dancing, yoga and meditation. Adopt the approach of ‘rooting down’, feeling the earth beneath you and shaking with the awareness. Walk barefoot mindfully, feeling each toes and exploring the sensations – whether it’s grass, feel if it’s wet, soft, or firm. Be mindful of your feet in every action. Incorporate root vegetables into your diet, whether juiced, raw, or cooked. Visualise deeply, exploring the endless possibilities of your mind. Connect to the vast energy of the earth and imagine harnessing that energy to elevate your energy body. It is within your reach.
