Rapid Imprint Resolution

A Holistic Approach to Mind-Body Healing

Rapid Imprint Resolution is at the forefront of hybrid therapeutic approaches that work simultaneously with the mind and body. This method was created by Emma Starling and Jill Nicholson, who have a combined experience of over 40 years in the fields of psychotherapy, alternative medicine, and emotional freedom techniques.

Emma Starling is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping) trainer, practitioner, and clinical supervisor. She has been studying and working in the field of alternative medicine and therapies for over 30 years. Jill Nicholson is a BACP-accredited psychotherapist with 25 years of experience working with clients, including managing recovery and counselling services for recovering substance users. She is also a clinical supervisor and trainer.

The genesis of Rapid Imprint Resolution arose from a desire to provide a more holistic approach to serve their clients. Inspired by the works of Dr. Gabor Maté, Bessel Van Der Kolk, and Dr. Peter Levine, the method combines both talking and somatic therapies to support the healing journey.

The combination of psychotherapy tools with EFT tools in Rapid Imprint Resolution supercharges the therapeutic process. The method integrates Transactional Analysis concepts, including Life Scripts, Ego-States, and Drivers, alongside psychodynamic theories of attachment. This approach helps identify root causes of difficulties, fosters self-awareness, and facilitates lasting change.

Rapid Imprint Resolution can be applied to various issues, including trauma, as it supports the unconscious to become conscious. By combining psychotherapy tools with EFT, practitioners guide clients through the process of releasing stored trauma and embedding new beliefs to replace those born out of past wounding.

While many modalities soothe stress and regulate the nervous system, EFT is particularly effective because it not only regulates but also dissolves and rebuilds neural pathways. This creates physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and cellular change. The method helps clients dissolve neural pathways connecting distressing memories with bodily reactions, freeing them from emotional charges.

The approach also acknowledges the complexities of working with traumatised brains, which may lead to altered threat perception and difficulty filtering environmental information. By calming the nervous system and promoting regulation, clients move away from stress responses such as Fight/Flight/Fawn or Freeze/Overwhelm.

Rapid Imprint Resolution allows clients to focus on bodily sensations without revisiting distressing memories in detail. This approach combines psychotherapy and somatic healing tools, offering a holistic path to long-lasting change.

After decades of working with clients, Emma and Jill have reshaped their practices around Rapid Imprint Resolution. The method feels incomplete without combining both sets of tools – psychotherapy and somatic approaches—similar to strawberries without cream or yin without yang.

The impact of the Rapid Imprint Resolution Method has surpassed their expectations. It harnesses the potential of psychotherapy tools and blends them with somatic techniques to encourage the client’s healing process to unfold beyond words.

Their next cohort begins in September 2024. The accredited course is delivered live via Zoom over 18 weeks, with each weekly training session lasting 90 minutes. If you are interested in adding this blended approach to your practice, please contact either Emma Starling or Jill Nicholson for further discussion.
