Reese’s Stellar Summer Performance & What’s Next

Wow, what an electrifying season it’s been! With more competitions than ever, this year truly flew by in a blur of excitement and achievement.

Reese took on the British and English Nationals in Sheffield from July 22nd to August 3rd, delivering a series of outstanding performances. She crushed her goals at the Aquatics GB Summer Nationals, competing in her three Fly Races – 50m, 100m, and 200m – and earned a coveted spot on the prestigious 800m Free Women’s Relay Team.

But that’s not all!

Reese smashed her personal best in the 50m Fly, breaking the 30-second barrier for the first time, and clocked an incredible 1:05 in the 100m Fly, finally achieving her goal of going sub-1:06.

Following this, Reese headed to the Swim England Summer Nationals, where she made her debut in the 1500m and 800m Free events, as well as the 200m Backstroke.

While the distance events didn’t go exactly as planned, Reese’s perseverance and drive were evident. With limited experience in these races in a 50m pool, she gained invaluable experience and should be immensely proud of competing at this elite level.

The highlight?

A phenomenal performance in the 200m Backstroke, where she shattered her personal best by 2 seconds, secured a spot in the final, and finished 8th in the nation! Reese gave it her all and then some.

Beyond the races, Reese had an unforgettable time meeting new people, forming friendships, and cheering on her teammates. As the next season kicks off at the end of August, Reese is making the leap into the elite squad, and we can’t wait to see what she conquers next.

Stay tuned – this is just the beginning!

Reese, your determination & hard work are paving the way for greatness!

Keep shining bright!
