I have used herbs and natural medicine since I was a young girl.  It has helped me with allergic reactions, painful conditions such as headaches, inflammatory back related conditions and much more.  All of which, I have healed through natural cures.  I find this powerful.

If you have an adverse reaction to conventional medication, my suggestion would be to use natural options.  It’s often when we find no other alternative, that we turn to nature.

Have you had this experience?

Natural medicine is effective when used under the guidance of a qualified practitioner.  I have seen the benefits many times in my own experience.  I am delighted that I have heart warming, positive feedback and recommendations from many people of all ages, who have had varying concerns.

If you believe this will work for you, it will.  Most of our healing process comes from what we believe will be the outcome.  This is very powerful, I often talk of mindset, you will see from previous articles I have written.

I would like to highlight one beneficial herb that is commonly called Milk Thistle.  Its Latin name is Carduus Marianus.

This herb is pretty to look at, with a purple thistle like appearance.  Yet, despite its appearance Milk Thistle is full of medicinal benefits.  It is known for treating liver diseases.  It relieves the circulatory congestion of the liver, helps jaundice, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease and liver cancer.  It is anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and helps the liver to generate new cells.  I had a health scare last year when they suspected my gallbladder, thankfully I was all clear and every test result proved negative.  I can only say that I am sure this is because of my use of herbs.  When I suffered this phantom pain I turned to Milk Thistle which I found really beneficial.  A form of this can also be found in a vitamin supplement.  I would only recommend that you use under the guidance of a qualified herbalist like myself.  If this is something that interests you, please do get in touch and we can discuss further.

Other herbs that I have found highly beneficial over the years for my own health have been Valerian, when I have been under stress and need to relax and enjoy a better quality sleep.

The benefits are, that it is totally natural and does not have the addictive effects of conventional sleeping tablets.Β  Of course with all herbs used as medicine, they still need to be used with care and strict professional guidance.Β  An individual could easily overdose if you don’t know what you are doing!

After my car accident many years ago, I was in crippling pain with my spine and turned to Devils Claw, this is similar to taking Ibuprofen, but without the chemical side effects.  I could ramble on about the incredible benefits of many other wonderful herbs that have helped both me and my clients, but I would rather advise you according to your specific needs. I do believe that we are all unique, with some commonalities and should be treated as such. I am trained to treat the whole persona, not just the ailment.

As a Holistic Therapist (Herbalism is one of my qualifications) and Lifestyle Mentor, I’m happy to guide you on the path to renewed health and vitality.
