Hi fabulous peeps! Welcome to another month, a month of amazing opportunities for growth and self-development!
Yes it is April already! After a very successful ‘Mind Full, or Mindful’ Workshop which I held earlier this month, I would like to share with all of you two of the power tools that I teach in this particular workshop. Not only have they helped me but so many other beautiful souls too have benefited from using these techniques. So here they are:
Power tool 1: Discovering your Super Power of Positive Thinking
Florence Scovel Shinn, an amazingly enlightened woman of her times, once remarked: “Your thoughts and words are your wand”. Wow, what a powerful statement! Yes very powerful! When we finally wake up and realise that we and we alone are the only thinkers in our mind we finally understand that we are solely and completely responsible for our experiences.
If we mainly want to think sad, upset, worry, fear, etc … then this is what we will experience. If however we allow ourselves to think happy, trust, joy, love, peace, understanding, acceptance, harmony then this is what we will experience. It is so simple yet so many of us find it hard to believe. So why not allow your Superpower of Positive Thinking to come to the fore to help you with your daily life experiences? How many minutes per day are wasted on senseless worrying about this that and the other? How many minutes are spent comparing, judging, belittling, nagging, whinging and whining? Any idea how draining this stuff is to your precious and good health? How about using the time to amp and to rev yourself up with feel good thoughts, words, deeds and actions instead?
One of my favourite spiritual teachers Louise L Hay once said.
“You have been criticising yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”
Now I’d like you to take a few minutes and evaluate what actually holds you back to tell yourself that you are beautiful, loveable, capable, delightfully charming, adorable, fantastic, wonderful, brilliant, intelligent, witty?
Ah the EGO!
Beware of the Ego Trap
We all know that tiny (and yes rather irritating) little voice in our head that tells us we are not good enough or they are not good enough, we are too fat, too tall, too skinny, too stupid, not earning enough money, should be better at doing this that and the other, should compete with this person to outshine him or her, the list is endless …
Eckhart Tolle, Spiritual Teacher & Author, describes the process of uncovering the ego as follows:
“The moment you become aware of the ego in you it is strictly speaking no longer the ego but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot co-exist.”
So ego is human made, ego is the voice of ignorance, separation and fear who wants to keep us small, doesn’t want us to shine. Ego hates change and hides behind a façade a wall – that we have so successfully built over the years – of shame, blame, guilt, finger- pointing, tutting and so on and so forth.
Power tool 2: Make the Switch and set your dials high! From 3D to 5D
Once however when we make a conscious choice to drop the defences and allow the walls to come crumbling down the ego has no-where to hide anymore and has no other option but to finally vacate. This normally happens when we wake up and realise that there is a oneness between us and all – that separation was merely another illusion of egoic thinking. This happens when we are ready to co-operate, come from our 5D higher self rather than the outdated 3D attitude, when we allow ourselves to think with the heart, allowing ourselves to be happy rather than “always right”.
When we shift into 5D we enter a state of being where we become aware that “We are all One”, and where we acknowledge the Divine Presence in ourselves and others. When we allow ourselves to leave our 3D personality behind we are open to listening to higher guidance and are totally focused on what we are doing. For example I, as a healer and therapist, give healing to others by getting out of my personality and into 5D a state of centred detachment, a space in which nothing and no one outside myself can affect me. It is a space of utter peacefulness, total acceptance and profound love.
