Colour Therapy for Health Benefits

Today we take colour for granted. When it comes to colour we place more emphasis on fashion and interior design. But you may be surprised to know that colour as a healing tool has been in existence for thousands of years, but like many of our holistic therapies they have slipped by the wayside.

Colour is provided by nature, it’s there 24/7, three hundred and sixty-five days a year.  It’s completely free and you can take as much as you want. Colour is very complicated on the inside, but you don’t have to worry about that as each part of your body knows exactly how to integrate and interact with each colour. That said there may be times when you will need a little more exposure to a certain colour such as blue when you have a temperature or green when you need to detox your body.

So, let us have a look at what colour therapy is and how it can benefit you and your family and friends. Colour is a large part of this world, everywhere we look we see colour, we wear it, and we even eat it, from the food we eat to the cars we drive and the walls within our homes that we paint. Colour says a lot about us, but colour can also help us in our everyday life and bring benefits that you never imagined possible.

All our colours come from the sunlight, and when we have had a rain shower we normally get a rainbow and this shows us the seven colours, which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Each colour has its own health benefits for your body and mind.
