I mostly find that getting motivated is easy. It’s exciting when we get fired up, inspired and ready to take action. It feels as if we can do anything. Staying motivated is often easier said than done. I know from personal experience that keeping in the momentum of being fired up is not that simple!
But how do we stay motivated?
That’s something entirely different. What keeps you motivated?
Like any fire, motivation needs igniting. If you don’t start the fire and keep it going, feeding and nurturing it, it will simply burnout and die.
A few ideas on keeping motivated…
- Keep your vision alive daily. Envisage the outcome and remind yourself what got you started.
- Journalling all your thoughts and ideas daily
- Quiet time to reflect and meditate is important, this helps to generate fresh new ideas.
- Gratitude each day for the big and small wins and acknowledging how far you have come.
- It’s important to connect with people who think big and will support you on your journey. Like-minded individuals are important.
- Create a vision board with inspiring pictures and quotes that will encourage you.
- Mind mapping is another great way to generate ideas, just from one thought or idea, you will be surprised how many other great ideas will come to you.
- Read motivational books.
- Keep learning and gaining new ideas, research similar ideas and topics.
- Motivational music that inspires you.
- Empower yourself.
Motivation will never be sustained unless we make a concerted effort each day to keep our dreams alive.

Don’t ever let anyone steal it from you. Those who steal your dreams and crush them are not worthy of your time, they are possibly just jealous they didn’t think of your great idea. Avoid these negative influences at all costs. The less interaction you have with these types of people, the better for you.
You can do it, if you keep your mind on the end result.
Hold the vision of what it is you want to achieve in your heart and mind and nurture it daily. Write down in as much detail as you can. What it is you dream of achieving, what it will look like, smell like, feel like? Really get into the feeling of that end result. Remember that you don’t need to know every detail of the process, it will come to you over a period of time. It will all fall into place, trust yourself and the path you are taking. If it’s not working, you can always adapt your plan, take a new path, just so long as you’re keeping your dream alive.

Keep going, you are a winner!
To your Great Success
