Your body is important
If this is something you fall short on, try juicing or supplements. A balanced daily diet is key, we cannot avoid eating certain food groups as they all play an integral part in our health.
I know many people who are either fussy eaters or find some foods do not agree with them, you can find alternatives. If you find you have allergic reactions or are intolerant to some foods, I encourage you to seek professional advice as there is help available. Email me, I am able assist you in this regard.
Are you eating a fresh, wholesome daily diet?
Another consideration is supplementation. Have you tried supplements? Sometimes we are lacking key nutrients in our diet and supplements can play a vital role in ensuring our bodies get what they need. Consistency is key when taking herbs or supplements of any description. You cannot expect to gain any benefit from them if you do not take them daily as recommended. I explain to my clients that it is the same as taking conventional medication, if you are prescribed antibiotics, would you fail to take the whole course of medication? I doubt it. Therefore, the same applies to taking herbs and supplements, you need to take them consistently every single day in order to see the benefits. Your body will thank you and you will soon feel better.
Drink lots of water, if you find you are bored with the taste, try adding a piece of your favourite fruit, a sprig of mint or a slice of cucumber. It enhances the taste naturally.
Have you tried drinking herbal teas? The flavour can be enhanced with a teaspoon of locally produced organic honey. Coffee and tea are not bad for us, but moderation is very much advised. How do you start your day, what is the first thing you drink when you wake up?
Exercise is another important factor. We were not designed as humans to be sedentary. What do you enjoy? Is it walking, gardening, dancing, swimming, running or maybe you enjoy working out in a gym? Whatever you choose, keep active every day no matter how long you do it for, every little bit goes a long way when you do it consistently. If you have restricted mobility, gentle movement is possible, it will be beneficial not only for your body but also for your mind.
Last but not least, it is very important to get quality sleep every night. Get into a regular sleep routine, avoid technology just before retiring. If you suffer from irregular sleep patterns or insomnia, technology just before bedtime is definitely to be avoided. Sleep in a well aired room, make this your haven. Enjoy relaxing light and read a book before sleeping instead of using a computer, mobile phone or kindle. My advice is to turn off technology at night, unless it is absolutely imperative to have it on. Sleeping with WiFi constantly on and near you at night can cause disruptive sleep and is know to aggravate those who suffer from headaches.
