This month the focus is on introducing the column & becoming clear on what a spirit keeper does. In the months which follow, the focus will be on different areas of self-care practices for mind, body, spirit & soul under the combined command of: Physician-Patient Know, Love, Heal & Free Yourself.
“What Is A Healthcare Spirit Keeper & Why Would I Want To Be One?”
The greening of medicine is now truly underway. Healthcare is rapidly moving from the wounded healer archetype into the holistic healer archetype. From physical oriented focus and techniques into the embracing of quantum realities and using frequency and vibrational applications alongside allopathic practices.
The original vision of holistic healing is beginning to embody itself through what is known as life-style medicine or integrated healthcare. It is where allopathic and alternative practices come together to work towards well-being in mind, body and spirit for their patients/clients.
What Is A Keeper?
Ancient sacred texts refer to humankind as having the ability to become a keeper. The term ‘keeper’ is significantly symbolic in all religions. Keepers are portrayed as caretakers, guardians and protectors.
Becoming a ‘keeper’ conveys the sense of response-ability and stewardship for God’s creation. Keepers care for Mother Earth and all her inhabitants lending support as a guide and healer. Keepers live their life with the highest integrity – walking the talk and talking the walk. They are often leaders from the back quietly moving through life with grit and grace.
A spirit keeper is not only a caretaker, guardian and healer, they are individuals who embody and ground spiritual energy onto Mother Earth. A spirit keeper is one who has direct experience and knowledge of the Divinity of Life and they do not intellectualise spirituality. They are called to be a keeper of faith, safeguard morals and values which promote the return to wholeness particularly at times of external chaos.
Spirit keepers are grounded, centred, aligned and present. They live gently on the Earth, feel connected and guided by the Divine. Spirit keepers intentionally ground higher wisdom and understanding into the thought and emotional fields associated with Mother Earth.
Healthcare Spirit Keepers
A healing practitioner who chooses to become a spirit keeper is an individual who has transformed from the wounded healer into a holistic healer. These individuals are actively participating in the healing journey, spiritual growth and evolution of humankind. They are the grounded, centred caretakers and guardians of healthcare wisdom for life on Earth. Their life-style actively demonstrates the integration of mind, body, spirit and soul and is a living advertisement for the benefits of integrated healthcare management and practices. The healthcare spirit keeper embodies their soul onto Earth in order to ground specific frequencies of information for the solving of problems facing humankind and Mother Earth, particularly in relation to health, healthy and healing.
Benefits Of Soul Embodiment
The healing journey is the spiritual journey and vice versa. When you consciously cultivate the integration of the mind, body and spirit to allow soul embodiment, you will experience a greater sense of purpose in your life. This leads to feelings of fulfilment and wholeness. Soul embodiment is only possible when you are grounded, centred and aligned in mind, body and spirit. This alignment allows you to experience your true essence as Soul which enables you to connect with the inner guide and wisdom. This connection enables you to navigate life’s challenges with more clarity and ease. Others will admire you for your courage, strong spirit and sense of peace when life appears to be chaotic and dramatic.
Question For You
Now that you are aware of what a healthcare spirit keeper is…
The way of the healthcare spirit keeper is recognising the importance of a daily self-care practice which promotes the integration of the mind, body and spirit through the power of compounding.
Self-care – The Ultimate Sacred Practice
Self-care sounds incredibly self-indulgent. However, ancient life-style medicine practices such as yoga, tai chi and qi gong known for their life-giving benefits understood self-care creates the foundation for spiritual awareness and expanded consciousness.
Very simply, self-care is the daily practice of using specific multi-sensory techniques to feed, exercise and develop the mind, body and spirit into a state of wholeness through the power of compounding.
The compounding effect of these multi-sensory techniques prepares the mind, body and spirit as a ‘light vehicle’ into which your Soul can embody itself consciously on Earth during this incarnation.
Self-care is the 21st century expression of a daily sacred practice from the ancient temples.
- Self-care is the daily practice of self-healing and developing presence by living in the present moment.
- Self-care is the daily practice of techniques which promote the integration of mind, body and spirit.
- Self-care is the daily intentional practice of reflection, releasing and re-programming the mind, body and spirit.
The Chakras as a Guide for Self-Care
My guides have shown me that the chakras are the most useful self-care guide for eclectic holistic practitioners committed to the healing journey. The reason for this is the chakras are associated with techniques and practices which are multi-sensory both as an intelligence and as a bodily function. In the months’ ahead, this column will look into how to use the chakras as a guide for self-care practices and to become a healthcare spirit keeper.
Contemplation Exercise:
Identifying Your Current Self-Care Practice
This month’s exercise is to identify where you are currently at when it comes to self-care. For this exercise you will need the following:
- 15 to 30 minutes of quiet time for yourself.
- Pen and journal.
- Silence – no music.
Start your session by standing up and with your feet shoulder width apart. Twist your body from side to side in a relaxed way allowing your arms to wrap around you in a light relaxed tapping motion. Breathe deeply and release all tension. Do this for 20 seconds. Then roll your shoulders forwards and backwards; release tension in the neck by doing a couple of slow neck and head roles left and right. Stand tall with your knees slightly bent and visualise roots growing from your feet into Mother Earth.
When you sit down and before you pick up your pen to answer the questions below, use your fingers to draw the figure of 8 for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This exercise engages the left and right brain hemispheres and fires them up to work synchronously.
Take a deep breath, read the question and write down the answer in your journal. Answers will be yes, no, I don’t know or a specific number.
- Do I over think things?
- Am I using food as an emotional comforter?
- Do I always put my own needs behind the needs of others?
- Am I addicted to self-help psychology and practices?
- Do I use binge-watching tv as a means to avoid admitting how emotionally at dis-ease I am?
- How often do I pray?
- Do I know the sequence of my preferred learning modalities (visual, kinesthetic, auditory etc)?
- Am I exercising regularly (e.g. yoga, walking, weight training)?
- How often do I spend time reflecting and releasing limiting thinking and emotional states?
- Do I know the sequence of my preferred love languages?
- Am I aware of whether or not my behaviours are getting or protective when it comes to love?
- How often do I meditate?
- What skills do I have which can better humankind?
- How financially intelligent am I?
- Do I practice being present and connected with the divine daily?
- Do I consider myself logical or creative?
- Do I consider myself intellectual or emotional?
- Do I consider myself as active or lazy physically?
The above questions are designed to stimulate knowledge about your self-care practices in relation to mind, body and spirit. No right or wrong answer. Just an observation of where you are at and the foundation from which you can grow your self-care practice as a spirit keeper.
Monthly Research Project
For the next 28 to 30 days research information about healing the vagus nerve and strengthening the body electric (nervous system).
Words Of Wisdom
“Those who commit to nothing, are distracted by everything.”
~ Bhagavad Gita
Next Month…
Next month we will begin the journey of learning self-care practices which prepare and integrate the mind, body and spirit. It will be living medicine which you apply daily to not just improve your vibration but also to improve your inner voltage (power and connection).
Until next month. From one kindred spirit to another – be safe, be well, be authentically you.
In gratitude
