Stepping Stones
I left the UK with 6 suitcases, my 10-year-old daughter, and no idea what I was going to be able to achieve or manage once I arrived in a totally new country. It didn’t matter, to me it was just an adventure.
Just one big adventure. I had been on several adventures in my life already, what was one more? The problem was I believed this adventure would lead me to the end of the rainbow, the gold. I had no one to guide me so I began looking and listening to the signs and quickly realised I could support my daughter in the entertainment industry. So now that there was a bit of a road to follow, I learned that the end goal would be winning an award, more specifically, an Oscar. In my head, my path became clear, or so I thought. I hadn’t realised that even when you’re there, you’re plagued with the question, now what? By watching others around me and seeing their journey I realised that’s what this was, just a journey. A journey with several stops along the way. It begins at life and ends at death, it’s all about what’s in between. So, I had to embrace every moment and I could alter and change the trajectory of my journey at any time.
We can all develop!
Decide who you are and who you want to be, you’re in control of this
Establish a solid foundation. Put the time into the groundwork and plan
Visualise what your end movie looks like
Exude creativity through every pore. Take as much time as you want to work it out
Live now, don’t put it off until the end result
Organise your time so that you have clarity, peace, and joy
Prepare yourself for your purpose
Describe the hats you wear. Identify which hats are important and which hats you can “put in storage”. This will help improve your mental clarity, so you don’t spread yourself too thinly.
